In addition to having hand-built Threshold and supervised literally hundreds of various artists and bands sessions here at the studio, Producer/Guitarist James Walsh has always focused on bringing like-minded people together and blending resources. In 2005, Threshold and James Walsh Productions expanded their footprint within the 440 W. 41st Street facility to include new office suites (occupied by music related services, marketing, media, management) and a songwriting suite occupied by partner Sheldon Steiger (Joss Stone, Beu Sisters, Joe Jackson, etc.).

2006 has seen James and company perfecting the art of Analog recording with Digital editing at the studio and the results have been nothing less than spectacular. For James, this is what the studio had always been built for. With the combination of the sounds of the rooms and the collection of gear, engineers, and producers; professionalism and workflow is at the top of its game and a lifelong dream. There are only a few great rooms in NYC left to work in and Threshold is widely recognized as one of them. One typically has to spend much more to come close to what Major Who and Threshold offers in studios and productions.

3, 4, to 5 piece productions usually thought to need much larger space come together quite nicely in the main studio with all the isolation (or not) required for modern recording techniques.
Drums kill in the live room and overdubs have lots of flexibility and room colors to work with. The sense of community translates into every recording. "After all", James says, "What else are we here for?"
